The below is a list of items to be covered during this school year. At the end of each day I will update the homework for each class period and provide any links that are available.
Homework *There will be homework each night, and it will make-up 10% of overall grade. Homework will be considered late if turned in after the period it is due (with the exception of excused missed classes). For each day late a penalty of 10% will be given to the grade and will only we accepted for the following 5 calendar days. After that point a 1% will be given for the assignment. ***Note I do not provide students with a grade of 0 as that leaves question to something may have been missed or is able to be turned in late. I instead provide the students with a grade of 1 which indicates that the assignment was not turned in and is no longer eligible to be turned in for a grade. I will however always accept work no matter how late and check for accuracy and understanding. Today's Agenda:
September 3, 2013 (ALL Classes) (1) Role Call (2) Teacher Introduction (3) Complete Getting to Know You/Getting to Know Me Ice Breaker (4) Class Expectations (5) Homework, Journey to Mrs. Bell's 7th Grade Math Website. Complete a Journal Entry on 3 things you found on the website you were surprised to find and why. |

This area will contain copies of some of the classwork and notes so that students may consult this area if a class is missed or to ensure proper understanding during class. ***Most all work will be given to the students in the classroom, should they lose their copy, they will be responsible for printing from the website. |
1st Nine Weeks
September 4, 2013 Homework |
Vocabulary |
Vocabulary Flash Cards for the 1st nine weeks. Each 9 weeks I will prepare a list of important vocabulary for the students. Each student will receive 1 copy of the vocabulary in class for them to cut and paste onto index cards for homework. It is the students responsibility to bring those cards to each class period as I will be asking the students to add information to them. Should the student lose their cards, they may come to this part of the website and print additional copies at their leisure. ***Note students should expect Notecard Checks each grading period and should they not have their cards with them that day they will receive a 1 for their class participation grade for the day. Homework: Cut out each of the Vocabulary words and attach the vocabulary to the front of the card and the definition to the back. ![]()
