Meet Mrs. Bell
|
Welcome to Mrs. Bell's 7th Grade Mathematics class! I am so excited to be working with each and every one of you this year. As I plan to get to know each of my students much better, it is only fair for me to tell you a bit about me.
I was raised in rural Dinwiddie, VA where my mother still lives and I love to go home often to visit. I attended Richard Bland College upon graduating from high school and went on to receive my Bachelors degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Over the years I have worked to remain up to date on the latest in technology and pride myself on being a great end user. I am a proud mother of two daughters, my oldest will be starting her freshman year this year of high school and my youngest her 7th grade experience. I spend a great deal of my time with my girls and am active participant in their lives. They both keep me very active as an under paid Taxi! Over the years I have come to realize each of the students on my girls teams and their groups in general are my kids from that point on. My classroom is no different. I will provide your children with all of the love and guidance I have. I hope to instill in each of them the love of mathematics that I have and that will help guide them into the future. I am a recent Career Switcher and spent the first part of my professional career as an Accountant. While I love numbers my desire to help teach the next generation is greater, so I have taken the leap to Middle School Mathematics. My favorite color is Burple, my own word for a combination of blue and purple and am a huge Chicago Bears and Dale Earnhart, Jr. fan. I love to catch a good football game or race on a quiet Sunday afternoon but find it hard to fit in the time for it. I can often be found unwinding in my flower beds or cutting my grass, as that is my favorite way to relax! |
